teigan's birthday party
We went to my friend Anitra's daughter's birthday party this weekend. It was an Abby Cadabby themed party. Can I just say that Abby Cadabby is THE cutest Sesame Street character. She wasn't around when Shelby was into Sesame Street. Anyway, the kids had a great time with the picnic, moonwalk, and snow cones.

hannah montana in 3d
Saturday night there was a special concert on the Disney Channel of Hannah Montana and Miley Cyrus. (Yes, they are the same person!) It was going to be in 3d so we had to dig out our 3d glasses. We actually had to leave a birthday party in order to make it home in time. Shelby had been talking about this concert for weeks. Shelby's asking every 5 minutes if she can go to Hannah Montana Live. UGH!!!!
grocery cart race
This is the latest fun activity in our house these days. It's a grocery cart race!
HANNAH MONTANA DANCE
I uploaded a few videos from this weekend. Here's one of Tucker and Shelby "dancing" to the intro of Hannah Montana. (Not really sure if I would call it dancing. LOL)

DOUBLE RAINBOW
Does a double rainbow bring good luck? Lonnie caught this photo moment over our house.

ICE CREAM MAN
The kids know when they here the musical truck coming down the street at 7pm it's the ice cream man. They both go running to the door yelling ice cream. It's all Lonnie's fault. He's the one who started the habit of running outside as soon as he heard him coming. So now the kids know whenever they hear him and Lonnie's home, they are getting ice cream.
WASPS!!!
We were grilling outside tonight when all of a sudden Tucker started screaming and tossed his popsicle. I thought I saw a bee so I brought him in. We found 1 sting and fixed him up with some benadryl cream and back outside he wanted to go. A few minutes later he went to swing on the swing when all of a sudden he started screaming again. We look over and there was a swarm of wasps surrounding him. I scooped him up again and brought him in and ended up finding 2 more stings. Lonnie went to the swingset and found a wasp nest under the swing. Holy cow! He's doing fine. He screamed for about 30 seconds and was back to being happy again.
Before the sting on the swing.
Before the sting on the swing.
The first sting.
Back to play.

Cheer Camp
Shelby's little friend Emily invited her to go to a daytime cheer camp with her today. Shelby woke me up at 5:30 am totally dressed and asked if it was time to go. It didn't start until 10am. She was unbelievably excited. She had a great time but didn't want to show me anything she learned. Hmmm...
More Ride Pics
Here are 2 other pictures I took of the kiddos riding the rides. Shelby made a little friend and rode a few rides with him too.

Kemah
I took the kids to meet Lonnie for dinner at the Kemah Boardwalk Friday night. We rode that ride that goes all the way up and spins around to get a view of everything and then comes back down. I think it's called the stratosphere. I didn't have my camera with me so I took these pictures with my blackberry. Out of the zillion times we've been to Kemah, this was the first time we rode this ride. It was great! I highly recommend giving it a try.

Baby Jelly Beans
I've decided that I'm going to keep the Baby Jelly Beans website up and running. I'm going to do both. That way I won't feel guilty about straying away from topics that aren't focused strictly on Shelby and Tucker. So I'm keeping the blog for me and then their website for them. I updated it tonight if you want to check it out.

Baby Shower Game
Last night was my SIL's baby shower. We played this really gross game called "dirty diaper". There were about 12 different candy bars melted into diapers and we passed the diapers around and everyone had to figure out which candy bar was in each diaper. It was so disgusting, yet so fun! I caught this hilarious moment with my camera of my Aunt Laurie sniffing the dirty diaper and my mom making a funny face. Cracks me up!!!

Tucker Doing Time Out
I busted Tucker going through the dog door again so he got a time out. He doesn't want to sit on the time out stool and then Baxter came by and made him feel a little better.

Snap Shots
Here are some snap shots of the kids playing. Go figure that the kids can have the best time with FREE empty boxes!

Spring Cleaning....in the summer time!
We have so many toys! We saved all of Shelby's toys to pass down to Tucker and he could care less about most of them. He's never wanted to play with them. So yesterday I decided it was time to pack them up. I was thinking I'd sell some on craigslist, offer some to my brother and SIL, save a few, and then garage sale the rest. Well don't you know it, Tucker thought it was Christmas yesterday with tons of "new" toys. So needless to say, the toys are staying put.

Hannah Montana
I find myself going through the day now hearing Hannah Montana songs in my head. Shelby has reached the "I Love Hannah Montana" phase. It came out of no where. I was fine with her starting to like the music, but all of a sudden, WHAM! She wants me to buy the dvds, cds, books, concert tickets, toys....everything. She even got Mimi to set up a cd player in her room so she can play Hannah Montana over, and over, and over, and over....... She wants us to call her Hannah Montana. She wants her bangs to hang in her eyes like Hannah Montana. She wants to go buy new clothes now so she can dress like Hannah Montana. Hello???? YOU ARE FOUR! What happened to the girl who wanted to dress up and play princess??? I'm fine with the phases, but can't the Hannah Montana phase wait until she's around 7???
Barfing Bananas
In my attempts to get Shelby to eat real fruit I attempted to bribe her last night. I told her if she would eat 1/2 a banana or 5 grapes she could get a dessert after dinner. (Dinner was spaghetti with squash sneaked in the prego sauce.) She thought about it and said okay, she'd go for the banana. She took 1 bite and said she was going to throw up. I told her she was fine and to finish the banana. Sure enough, she puked up the banana and a few other things into her spaghetti bowl. I still didn't give in. I told her she had to try at least 3 grapes (I cut it down to 3 because I felt bad that she really did throw up). She was able to manage the grapes because she would put 1/2 the grape in her mouth with a fork full of spaghetti to mask the taste. In the end she ate 3 whole grapes and got a little ice cream.

4th of July Weekend
We took a drive down the Texas coast for the 4th of July weekend to visit Nanny Joy and Poppy Charlie. After having to listen to Shelby's music the entire way there and back, Lonnie and I now know all the words to Hannah Montana's songs. We really need satellite radio in my explorer. LOL
Dinner out with the family.
Tantrum at the beach. (Notice how he sucks in his gut!)
Feeding the seaguls at lunch.
Playing at the castle park.
Shelby's new friend Ocean. Yes, that's his name. They were so cute walking around holding each other's hands. Ocean is 5.
Pooped out at the park.
