Disney Stuff

We leave for our Disney Cruise today. I'm sooooooooooo ready for this trip. We are going to have so much fun! I ordered these nifty litty pdf's off etsy and created us shirts.

Kitchen update

My kitchen is pretty much finished. I painted the kitchen gray and got a new backsplash that is a blend of colors which include the wall color, cabinet color and counter color. I also got knobs finally. Still trying to figure out what I'm going to do for the windows.

Then there's my new tv and cabinet and finally a red wall that I have always wanted. Chris bought me the tv for Christmas. :-)

Sooooo far behind!

Ok, so I'm way way behind on updating with pics.

The month of December has been a blur pretty much. It's been NON STOP. Earlier this month I took my GS troop for our annual Christmas Caroling at the Festival of Lights.

 Shelby had to make a shield for a class project. This was the outcome.

 Shelby is in the Fife and Drum band at school at they played at the Dickens on the Strand in Galveston.

 There was the annual Christmas pageant at church.

 I took my youth group kids to pass out gifts and sing Christmas carols to residents at a nursing home.

I had my annual girls night craft night.

I made over 50 class gifts for both Shelby and Tucker's classes. This photo is just of Shelby's class gifts. (Notice my new backsplash?)

Then there was our 2nd Annual Ugly Sweater Party for youth group. Shelby came in 2nd again. So. Much Fun!!

 

There were class parties, and I'm sure tons of other stuff, but like I said, it's been a blur.Soccer season is done and flag football starts up next month for Tucker. I think we have 3 weekends (starting after this weekend) with nothing on the calendar and then 1/16 the crazy life train starts up again.

Oh Tucker

Tuesday evening Tucker's "small" gathering at Main Event turned into 20 kids. TWENTY. Oh Tucker. You said "just a few friends". LOL So Tucker celebrated his 9th birthday with 20 friends playing laser tag and video games and chowing down on pizza and chocolate cake. He had a fantastic time and loved all of his gifts. He's currently obsessed with the Dallas Cowboys so he was super pumped to get Dallas Cowboys gifts.

Then yesterday Tucker attempted to open one of his gifts...without supervision...with a new pocket knife he got from his dad. He sliced his hand opened so we ended up at the ER for a little glue and tape. So now I have one kid in a cast and another kid glued and taped up. I'm tired. LOL

Happy 9th Birthday Tucker!!!

Straight A's

This kid right here made straight A's! He should have got a gold medal for being on green every single day! His teacher apparently had the patience of a saint. LOL

Getting ready for the Disney Cruise!

For Christmas this year Mimi and Poppy are taking us and my brother's family on a Disney Cruise. Yes, they are the best parents ever. No, they won't adopt you. LOL

I just booked our excursion for the trip. The kids wanted to swim with dolphins so we will be doing that at dolphin discovery.

We've ordered family cruise shirts.

 

I ordered Shelby and Tucker cinch bags to take with them to the kids club in case they need to tote anything around.

 

Next thing to find, door magnets and drink cups. :-)

Tucker's 9th Birthday Invitation

Good Lord I am such a sucker. The GWL was suppose to be Tucker's bday "party" per se. I told Tucker he could invite a few kids to Main Event for a little bday celebration. It's an early release day for school on his actual birthday so we are going to have this gathering from 5-7pm.

Great Wolf Lodge

This past weekend I took the kids to the Great Wolf Lodge in Grapevine. When we went over spring break last year Tucker said that this was where he wanted to go for his birthday instead of having a party. Well it just so happen to be a girl scout weekend and we were able to get a 1/2 price discount off of the regular insanely high rate. So Christina and I buddied up together with our kids to share a room which made it even cheaper! This time we were able to go to the medieval times restaurant which was fantastic! Highly recommend!

This huge ice cream was in place of a traditional birthday cake. It serves 10 people. Between the 4 kids they ate only 1/2 of it.
