Flu Season

This flu season has been terrrrrible. First me, then my parents and now Shelby. The pediatrician today gave me tamiflu to start Tucker on as a preventative. Shelby has an ear infection on top of the flu. She hasn't had an ear infection since she was 3! I'm glad I was already scheduled to be off this week. Unfortunately I have to cancel our annual NYE party. :-(

1st Annual EYC Ugly Sweater Christmas Party

Last night was our 1st annual EYC Ugly Sweater Christmas Party. I must admit it was a lot of fun. It was a ton of work, but totally worth it. I'm pretty sure the kids had a blast. We had gingerbread house building race, wrapping races, gift exchange, carol kisses, and tons of pizza and sweets. Shelby came in 2nd place in the ugly sweater contest. Next year I will have to bring my good camera b/c the phone camera really doesn't do these pictures justice.

Soap and Scrub Day

Today Shelby is making her homemade soaps and scrubs for Christmas gifts. So far, so good. She hasn't caught the house on fire yet. LOL

Parade

Last week was the annual Christmas parade in town. I missed the entire event due to it being on day 2 of the flu but Mimi was there from the beginning to the end with the kiddos. She's awesome!

Gingerbread Houses

So this year I feel pressured for time with getting all our traditional fun in. It doesn't help that I got the flu last week but THANK GOD once again for my awesome parents for saving me with the kids. Well, me too since they came and picked me up when I was too sick to drive home from work. Anyway, so tonight we did gingerbread houses and instead of building the houses, I paid $2 extra and got the houses that were already built. :-) Tomorrow night we will get some cookie baking time in.

Christmas Pageant 2014

I don't know why every year Tucker signs up and then bails at the last minute to do this pageant at church. I refused to let him get out of it this year after I told him 3+ times to not volunteer and he did. I have to say though that he did a fantastic job and actually did what he was suppose to do and he led all the shepherds. Shelby was a king this year waddling in her boot across the altar. :-)

Soap making

Shelby and Tucker decided to make soaps last night. Tucker lasted about 5 minutes. Once Shelby started telling him what to do, he was done. LOL
