Last night for 16 days.

Tonight is our last night together for 16 days. My babies head to their dad's for their last 2 weeks. June was tough. July was a little better. Hopefully August is great. Their dinner of choice? Chilis. I think they only pick this place to jack with me because they know I can't stand it. LOL

Foot update

Shelby got fitted for her boot. It's a different boot then last time and she's needing to use the crutches still when walking. Afterwards we went to a new restaurant called Quaker steak and lube which I think is now Tucker's new favorite restaurant since there are full size cars hanging from the ceiling. So now for the rest of the weekend we will be watching a lot of netflix and doing a lot of crafts that require a lot of sitting.

Saying Goodbye.

This past week our friends The Stigsell family packed up and moved away. We became super close to the family during their 4 years stationed here with the Coast Guard. Their next station is Puerto Rico and I really hope the kids and I will be able to visit them next summer.

At the specialist....

Just left the orthopedic specialist's office. Turns out Shelby's fracture is in the growth plate of her foot/ankle. They casted it for 24 hours and we go back tomorrow for a special boot. They didn't have her size in stock but will tomorrow. They at least put a little shoe on the bottom which allows her to put a little pressure on the foot.

The other foot.

Well we ended up back in the ER tonight. Shelby's been crying for 2 days about her foot/ankle hurting. Today became unbearable so off to the ER we went. Diagnosis - fractured ankle. It's where the ankle and foot meet. It appears to be an old injury that was re-injured. This time it's the other foot. The injury isn't severe and will probably be fine by the end of the week since it looks to be healing already. So to be safe, he casted it in hopes to keep her off of it.

Fudds for Dinner

It's our last night before the kids leave again for 16 days to go to their dad's in Austin. Kids picked fuddruckers for our last night together. I'm really hoping this time it's easier. :-(
