Broken Nose

Tucker broke his nose. :-(

He was at his dad's for a few weeks and hit it on a fan while there. The bruising and scratch is gone but you can slightly see the lump on the left side of his nose. It has already started to heal. I was afraid they were going to have to break it to fix it but the X-ray showed that the break didn't get in the way of his sinuses so they are going to leave it as is.

Family Game Night

For a while now the kids and I have been playing games before bedtime every night. It's hard to squeeze it in on school nights, but we made it happen. They love it, so I love it. Shelby is CRAZY good at Spot It and Tucker is usually the winner at UNO...if I let him. Otherwise it would be ME! Love me some UNO! And then there is the card game War. That's the game we laugh at the most.

SSS project

This is what Christina and I have been working on a few nights since the kids have been gone. It's starting to shape up. I still have a lot to add for color but it's looking good so far I think. Our super summer sunday theme this year is Blast Off.

Annual end of school year pool party 2014

We hosted our annual end of school year pool party. The weather was perfect and the party was great...well, except some of the games, which were fun, but invoked some crying about cheating. So next year, no games. LOL

 

I think we had 12 kids and 11 adults and A LOT of pizza!!

End of the 2013-2014 school year!

I'm finally getting around to downloading some photos off of my phone. The kids have been with Lonnie in Austin since last Sunday (6/8/14). I planned to be quite productive with several projects on my to do list but the only project I have been able to cross off was cleaning out my closet. I haven't done much else other than work on Super Summer Sunday stuff for church and go to the gym. I was told that the hardest part of divorce was the first year. You have to get through all of the seasons. I honestly thought nothing could be worse than Christmas but I was wrong.  Summer is the worst.

So I've held off on uploading photos because I was just a wee bit of a mess, but I've since recovered and my babies come home in 3 days. There's light at the end of the tunnel. So here are some pics from the last week of school! I can't believe Shelby is no longer an elementary kid!!!

It was a very busy last week of school. Shelby had talent show on Monday which my mom was able to go and take videos for me. Tuesday I went to field day. Wednesday was 4th grade Luau which my mom was able to go to again for me. And then Thursday was the last day of school and awards which Mom and I split the day up for. (THANK YOU MOM!!!!!!)

This was at Tucker's field day. Shelby missed because she was still sick with strep throat and the talent show the day before wiped her out.

4th grade Talent Show

Monday was Shelby's talent show at school. There was no way I could go so Mimi went and recorded it for me. I'm so proud of Shelby. She was so nervous but she pulled it off. I HATE that kids are talking throughout the show. They do this every year.  Here are the videos. Mimi had to send it in 2 different emails so here they are. Shelby danced to a song called Beautiful Day. It was her last Monday as an elementary student. :-(

 

Kennedy's Birthday

A few weekends ago Shelby went to Dallas to six flags with her friend Kennedy's family for Kennedy's birthday. Poor Kennedy broke her arm the week before on their field trip but fortunately she was still able to go. The girls had a blast!

Buc-ees

We finally made it out to the new Buc-ees. I'm pretty sure Shelby made us stay in there at least an hour. So glad she finally has it out of her system.
