Brody, Santa and Tucker

Brody's mom took the boys to her work Christmas party at the Kemah Boardwalk. Super cute! Praise Jesus they got along for her!! Now to teach Tucker he should order from the kids menu and not a big steak when he's there as a guest! (Oh was that embarrassing for me to hear! LOL)

Dickens on the Strand

Shelby marched with her band at Dickens on the Strand last weekend. The original weekend they were suppose to play, she couldn't go because of volleyball. But due to rain the parade and performance were postponed so Shelby was able to participate. Big thanks to Mimi and Poppy for taking her and Tucker to the event since I already had previous plans scheduled. I'm telling you, it's a crazy packed month.

EYC Ugly Sweater Party

Sunday we had our 3rd Annual Ugly Sweater Christmas Party at EYC. Shelby was determined to place again this year, and this year she actually got 1st place. Brody got 3rd place. His mom did an awesome job finding the weirdest Christmas shirt ever! Space Christmas cats on pizza slices.

Class Christmas Parties

Shelby, Tucker and Brody all had their class parties on the same day at the same time. Again, this is another difficult task to pull off with my attendance with the kids being a different schools. Next year we won't have an issue. This year for class treats I filled about 50 ornaments with Christmas chocolates and tide some ribbon. Easy peesy!

Shelby wanted her school volleyball teammates to have a personalized gift so I ordered the team girls these cute necklaces off of Etsy with each girl's initial. When I showed up for class parties, each girl already had them on and were super happy!
Shelby's class merged together with 6th and 8th grade for a combined Christmas party full of games and food. I've said it a million times and I'll say it again, I'm so glad I sent Shelby to this school. I am looking forward to Tucker going there next year. The kids and staff are super sweet.

Tucker plays Santa!

This year Tucker's school musical was on the same night as Shelby band concert and Brody's Christmas play. Unfortunately, Tucker is at a different school so I had to miss Shelby and Brody's performance. I could not miss Tucker playing Santa in the 4th grade musical, his last year in elementary school. I felt terribly guilty all night long. Next year we plan to send Tucker to True Cross as well so we shouldn't run into this issue again for a while.

EYC goes Caroling

Christina and I took the youth group to Seabreeze Nursing home to pass out handmade gifts from the kids and sing Christmas carols through the hallways. The kids look forward to the event every year. This year Shelby played her ukulele for all the songs. It was quite a cute touch.

1st volleyball tournament with GCVA

Once December gets here, we hit the ground running with the busiest part of the calendar year. We kicked off the month with Shelby's first weekend tournament with GCVA at Spike Sport. Let me just say, volleyball tournaments are soooooooooo much easier to tolerate than dance competitions. The team didn't do so well out of the 8 games, but I think it was a good eye opener for them, and helped them realize as a TEAM what they need to work on. After the tournament the girls found themselves having to do A LOT of jump burpees at practices now.

I wanted to get the team something to help build some team love so for Christmas so I had my friend Dianna make these super cute ornaments personalized with each girls' name on it and the uniform colors. It was most definitely a great hit with the girls!

Team pow-wow

Tonight's the night before Shelby's first club volleyball tournament with GCVA. She loves her coach. She's still getting to know her team so she's pretty quiet at practices. The team is excited for tomorrrow. We have to be there at 7:30am. Eek!!

Shelby made the paper. :-)
