Spring 2014 Team Photos

Every season the kids get new team photos with volleyball and soccer. It's by the same company and they are insanely expensive. So this spring season I decided to be "cheap" and only buy the team photo which was still around $15 EACH. I am so glad I decided to not purchase more than what I did because when I got these in the mail yesterday they highly disapointed me with their level of suckyness! They actually had picture retakes at practice last night for Tucker's team. Probably because there is this haze across the photo that makes it look blurry. That is not my scanner!

Weekend Update

It's not even May and the kids spent the weekend swimming! I took the kids to swim at the YMCA waterpark Saturday after their soccer and volleyball games. The rest of the Saturday was spent getting ready for next weekend's Strawberry Festival. Then on Sunday the kids and I went to Courtney's house for the girls to work on 4 girl scout badges and Tucker swam the entire afternoon.

Sleepless Nights

I'm reallllllly hoping Tucker is able to stay asleep tonight in his own bed. Last Tuesday Tucker and I witnessed a mom physically attack her teenage daughter. I called 911. For four days he talked about jail daily and why would a mommy hurt her daughter like that. He's ended up in bed with me for the past 5 nights. Ugh!!! He hasn't mentioned it once today so maybe, fingers crossed, he will stay in his own bed and sleep well tonight.

Easter Recap

What a beautiful day we had for Easter this year. The weather could not have been more perfect. We started off the morning with easter baskets which meant chocolate for breakfast.

Then it was off to church. No Sunday school for the morning meant Tucker had to manage to sit in the pew for an hour. That was no easy task, but he made it. Afterwards the kids all lined up for the easter egg hunt on the back lawn...yes, in the cemetary. These kids will never forget growing up they hunted for eggs in a graveyard. Aww, see the amazing memories I give them. Haha!

After church we went home for a little bit so the kids could play with their new goodies. Then it was off to Mimi and Poppy's house for a delicious steak dinner with some family friends. Hard to believe that after the long winter we've had, the kids are finally in the pool. 1 more month and then it's summer!

Tucker's 1st grade music

Tonight was Tucker's 1st grade musical to 3 of a kind. Shelby did the same one several years ago. I got only a little video and of course it's crummy but if you look to the top back row on the right you can make out Tucker dancing and singing. He was too darn cute!

Date night with little man

Shelby's at awanas tonight so after hitting the gym Tucker and I stopped at the restaurant of his choice ... Chilis. Not a fan of this place but definitely a fan of hanging out with my little man. He had a rough start to the week at school but hopefully he is back on track. He elbowed a girl for teasing him. She in turn punched him. They both ended up in ISS. 1st grade and already getting ISS. What will the next 11 years bring???

Strep Throat

Last week Tucker was sent home sick from school on Tuesday. His only illness symptoms were a migraine and 104 temp. By Thursday he wasn't any better. Thank God for my wonderful mother! Mimi cared for him all week while I was at work and took him to the doctor Thursday. It was the first time he said his neck, aka throat, hurt. He was diagnosed with strep throat. By Friday he was feeling much better thanks to antibiotics but he still had a low fever. He became obsessed with taking his own temperature so Mimi had him taking notes.

So now it's Sunday evening and he's all better.

But now Shelby has strep. Ugh!!!!!!!
