This photo below is of Lonnie coming out with Tucker behind locked gates at the Magic Kingdom. Tucker squeezed through and ran up the stairs. LOL

We're Home!

We made it home last night. I have tons of photos to download and will share onceI get them all organized. Our flight home was a success. Shelby and Tucker were both awake the whole time but were on their best behavior. Everyone is exhausted so today will be a lazy recooperation day.

Saturday

Today we are at MK and just had a fabulous character breakfast at Crystal Palace with pooh and the gang. We will hang here for a few more hours until its time to leave for the airport.

Friday night

Typhoon lagoon was a lot of fun today. We had a blast. Unfortunately Lonnie and I are burnt pretty bad. I'm at the house packing now while Tucker sleeps. Lonnie, Shelby and Charlie went to MK tonight. I can't believe our week here is almost over!

Today we are moving slow and just now getting out of the house. We are heading to typhoon lagoon today, a water park. We've been told this one is older than blizzard beach but has more toddler friendly stuff. Its suppose to rain again today.

Wednesday

Last night we didn't go back to MK. We went to landry's for dinner for "real food and wine" as Joy called it. LOL Remarkably the kids were awesome and in great moods even though they were tired. Shelby said she wanted to go to bed instead of going back to MK.
This morning we are going to Hollywood Studios for a character meal with the little einsteins and jojo's circus characters. Then it's off to see mcqueen and mater. I'm sure tucker will want to stay at those cars ALLLLL day.

Pluto

Survived the rain. Did splash mountain again. As we were on our way out we saw pluto with very little line. We stopped for a photo and autograph. Now we are heading back to the house. We may go back tonight.

Princesses

We just got done waiting in line for an hour for princess' autographs. It was totally worth it!!! There were 3 princesses, belle, cinderella, and sleeping beauty. We got to go in alone with just the princesses and photographers. It was awesome and not rushed at all.

Alladin

Shelby and I are in line for alladins magic flying carpet. Nanny (MIL) is with us. Lonnie, tucker and charlie (SFIL) left to go do something in orlando. Some hunt shop. Took tucker so he could nap. Shelby is MUCH happier being without tucker with us. It means she gets all the attention. She LOVE LOVE LOVED splash mountain. We got soaked. I have a great video for later. We got fast passes for that, thank God! The regular line was 2 hours long. So we got fast passes to go again later at 5pm. Today is packed crazy like yesterday!

Tuesday

Last night we went to the biggest mcdonalds in the US that they show on the travel channel. I'll post the link when I get back. It's suppose to be like a bistro. Don't waste your time going if you were ever thinking about going. It was gross. It was old, dirty, and well, let's just leave it at that.
Today we are going back to MK to ride more rides that we didn't get to on Sunday. No character meals scheduled today. I'm hoping now that the holiday weekend is over it'll be a little less crowded today. Yesterday was crazy crowded. You could hardly move.

Nap time

We are now back at the house for naps. Disney is 2 miles away so its nothing to leave and go back. Tusker house was great. They did some african dancing and let the kids play some instruments and got to meet donald, daisy, mickey and goofy. (Better than chef mickeys, but CM food was better.) Shelby is into autographs this year so she was happy to get those from them. Then we went to the kilajanro (sp?) safari ride. Thank God for fastpasses! The line was 2 hours long. We got fast passes before breakfast (good thinking Nanny!) so we got to practically walk right on after breakfast. It is PACKED today!!! Guess b/c of the holiday. We may do epcot later today after everyone is refrshed and if its not raining.

Animal kingdom

Heading to animal kingdom this morning. We have a character meal booked at the tuskar house. Clear blue skies for now. Shelby's complaining about her stomach hurting. Hasn't pooped in a few days so it may be a rough day. She'll be getting some prune juice today.

Sunday night

Magic kingdom was fun but the kids started to head downhill about noon so we headed back to the house for naps. Lonnie and Charlie went on a guided bass fishing trip. Now we are at MGM (hollywood studios) after a major down pour. Hardly anyone is here and its cool and breezy.

MK rides

Ok-please tell me what was suppose to be so awesome about chef mickeys? I was thinking there would be singing and dancing. Everyone says its the best but not sure why. We only got visits from 3 characters. Just did buzz lightyear ride. That was cool. Now we are in line to drive the cars at the speedway. Its only about 80* and not raining.

All tucked in!

The kids are all tucked in their bed. This place we are staying at is awesome! Totally furnished with everything we need. Unable to go to magic kingdom because its pouring down rain. Hopefully the weather is better tomorrow. We have a character meal at Chef Mickey's at 7am (gasp!).

Tomorrow is the big day!

We are all packed and ready to go. I'm going to attempt to update this site a few times while we are gone, but no promises. I'm a bit miffed we got boarding pass B on southwest. Check in time was noon and it wasn't even 12:01 by the time I finished and still got B. Grrrr! Oh well. We'll make do. Have a great week everyone!

kindergarten registration

Today I took Shelby and Tucker to Shelby's new school to get registered and take a tour of the school. I wish I didn't take Tucker. I was so busy chasing Tucker down hallways that I was unable to ohhh and ahhhh as much as I wanted to to help pump Shelby up for her new school. I wasn't able to get her registered b/c they now require a chicken pox booster shot before kindergarten so I have to take her in to get that done before they will register her. So now I will have to wait until August to get her registered. Ugh! I really wanted to have her registered before then. The school was nice and new. I was a bit disappointed with their teacher to student ratio. 22 students to 1 teacher, and there's no aide to help out, but sometimes a room parent. Apparently the school is maxed out with students and classrooms are now overflowing into portable buildings and the library. A new school is being built and is scheduled to be complete by next year so there's a good chance that Shelby will be at that new school due to what side of the hwy we live on. We'll see.

Shelby's PreK Graduation

Last night was Shelby's preK graduation. It was so cute! Check out the shutterfly album slideshow to see more photos. The photos towards the end are super cute with Shelby and her friends.
This is Shelby with her teacher Mrs. BJ. We love Mrs. BJ! I really hope Shelby's future teachers are as wonderful as she has been.

New Moon

Oh yeah baby!! The official New Moon poster was released today. The movie comes out in November. Woooo-hoooooo!!!! This is the second book in the Twilight series. If you haven't read it, you are totally missing out. Book 2 is sooooooooooooooooo good! I've read it too many times and cry every-single-time! So good! SOOOO GOOOOOD!!! Have you ever checked out my Twilight addiction links on the right? You are missing out if you haven't!
For those who haven't read and have only heard about this series, in the photo is Edward (the hot sexy vampire), Jacob (can't say how hot he is b/c he's a minor in real life so I'd feel like a pedifile, but he's a werewolf), and then there's Bella who has this unbelievable connection to both and she's human.

Luke's 5th birthday party

Sunday we went to Challenger Park for Luke's 5th birthday party. We were there for only 1.5 hours. We had to leave due to the mother of all fits that both of my children displayed. We are less than a week away from Disney and the last thing I need is for them to think that they can get away acting the way they did. So we left. Tucker even yelled at me and said I was mean.

Shelby's Last Soccer Game - Spring 2009

Today was Shelby's last soccer game of the season. I planned to sign her up again for the next session, but I will wait until the Fall instead. It was way stinkin hot out there and it's only May.

This little girl behind Shelby you have to watch out for. She is extremely aggressive, and not in the soccer way.
Look at the size difference with Shelby and these 2 different kids. She towers over them!

How in the world Tucker fell asleep out in the hot sun with his blanket is beyond me. But he was pooped. The other team didn't have enough players so Shelby volunteered to play on the other team for a while until the rest of their team showed up. So either way, Shelby's team won since she played for both teams. LOL (I really have no clue which team one.)

Disney Maps

Holy cow Disney is in a week!!! YAY!!! Lonnie and I are a bit nervous on how Tucker will be on the plane. I know he's going to be wild, I just pray that he's not the worst kid on the plane. After all, it is a plane to Orlando, surely there are a ton of kids on the plane. Anyway, I downloaded our maps from Disney's website to put in my nifty Disney directory that I've made.
