Last week we had a slim turnout for our GS Halloween party, but the girls still had a blast playing games, doing the monster mash, and all sorts of other silly stuff.

Party Pics
Tucker is still opening gifts from his party this past Saturday! Here are some pics from the party. Notice there's no cake. Tucker is not a fan of cake or cupcakes and after last year's fiasco with the ice cream cake from Baskin Robbins having the wrong flavors, I refused to go that route again. So we had an ice cream bar with a ton of different toppings. Yes, the kiddos went home on a major sugar high. :-)

Happy 6th Birthday Tucker!!!
So Tucker turned 6 yesterday. Whahhhhh!!!! He has been looking forward to this birthday more than any other birthday. I myself have been dreading this birthday. We had him a party at his usual spot, jump n jungle, with way too many kids. Which is awesome, don't get me wrong. But holy cow I even had to scale back the list this year after having to invite all the kids in his class. We had 27 kids there, and 17 were classmates!!!! I. Was. Shocked. And nope, hardly any of those rsvp'd but that's ok. Anyways, those photos will come later this week. In the mean time, here's my cute little baby striking his goofy poses outside.

Praying in Color
While at Camp Allen, Teresa Antley and I taught how to Pray in Color. I've been finding this to be VERY calming. It's made praying so much more personal for me and I know for the kids I taught, it really seemed to be an eye opener. I took it step by step. Like write the words. Then draw bubbles or circles or something around it. Then doodle away with lots of colors and spend the whole time thinking of what/who you are praying for. These are some of mine that I did.

Camp Allen 2012
This past weekend we went to Camp Allen for a church retreat. Even though last week was the most chaotic week I've ever had, this weekend was a great opportunity to RELAX! There were so many kids there from church that Shelby and Tucker had so much fun hanging out with them and doing their own thing. Camp Allen is just absolutely serene and you can't not love it! Plus the weather was perfect!
I had to take a picture of cabin 13. Nobody signed up to sleep in cabin 13 and the kids insisted that it was haunted. How can a cabin be haunted at church camp??? So I took all the kids up to the cabin to show them it wasn't haunted and I moved one of the beds and bam! There's stained red "drips of blood" all over the floor. It was paint. But to those kids, it was blood. They ran screaming down the stairs. It was sooooooooooo funny!

Girl Scout Retreat - Conroe, TX
Yesterday 1/2 of our troop drove up to Conroe to visit Agnes Arnold for Radical Reptiles, Misty Meadows for Luv, Hug and Groom (horses), and Camp Silver Springs for edible camp fires and a hike. Since Shelby is in competitive dance now, she wasn't able to join us until the afternoon. She had dance for 3 hours Saturday morning and then Lonnie drove her up to meet us in Conroe for the rest of the afternoon. It sucks it had to be done this way, but since I'm a troop leader, I had to go up in the morning. And Shelby couldn't miss dance since we had to sign a contract saying dance comes first.

Playground
10 years ago when we bought our house we were told they were building a playground in the neighborhood. 10 years! Last week they finally followed through and built the playground.

Tucker's 6th Birthday Invitation
I can't believe he's going to be 6!!! S-I-X!!!! So once again he wants his birthday party at jump n jungle. I don't think he will ever stop wanting to have his parties there. I've tried changing his mind but he's not budging. And all along I thought he'd want a Pokemon theme but he want's a Mario theme. I'm quite happy with that because that's MUCH easier to get stuff for than Pokemon!

Mario
Tucker decided this year he wants to be Mario for Halloween. I really need to go to the grocery store right now but he refuses to take off the costume and Shelby would die of embarrassment so we won't be going. LOL
