Happy 11th Birthday Shelby!!

Happy birthday to my little mini me!!! We spent the day recovering from yesterday's party (pictures to come later), having lunch with the family at fudd's, a shopping trip to Michaels, and baking from scratch lemon cupcakes per her request. It was a great day!! Hard to believe she's 11. ELEVEN!!!

Party Planning

I cannnnnot believe Shelby is turning 11 in less than 2 weeks. I'm so not mentally ready for this age! Shelby and I are in the process of planning her party and this year I had to say no to the slumber party. I'm just not wanting to deal with 10 little hormonal tweens who get in constant little fights over cheesy things after being together for more than a few hours. So Shelby wanted to do a craft party similar to what I do around Christmas with my friends at our Girls Night Craft Night. Still working on ideas of what we will be doing, but so far it looks to be a blast.

She had her invitation designed up and texted it to her friends. TEXTED her invitation to her friends!! I'm so NOT ready for 11.

Christmas 2014

Christmas this year was much better than last year. I wasn't in a fog or stressed over the new way of life like I was last year. The kids were with Lonnie up until Christmas Eve and then that night they were home to spend the holidays with me and my family. Christmas morning was way too early. My pictures are blurry and terrible. I'm half awake. My favorite moment was when Shelby cried after she got tickets to the Meghan Trainor concert. She also got a new phone that was not much of a surprise but she did good acting like it. AT&T sent her a text a few weeks earlier telling her that her new iphone was on the way. She was over the moon and I kept telling her that was not meant for her. She's not getting a phone. Of course I suck at lying. LOL  She also got tons of soap making stuff and now I can't remember what else. Tucker got this very cool military vest that he LOVE LOVE LOVES! Along with nerf guns and then grand theft auto which I was REALLLLLLY on the fence about with Santa.

Later that afternoon we went to my parent's house and enjoyed time with my family. Watching Tucker and my niece Madeleine shoot nerf guns at cousin Colyn "the zombie" was too cute!

 

 

 

NYE 2014

I had to cancel our annual NYE party thanks to the flu contaminating my house. This was a huge bummer for me and the kids. So instead of ringing in the new year with all of our friends we stayed home cooped up in the house for yet again another day trying not to kill each other. LOL We did eat pizza and watch Home Alone and around 9pm we went outside and sprayed some silly string and popped some poppers. Happy New Year everyone!!! We had a great 2014 and look forward to 2015 and all it's amazingness!
