email changes

Just an FYI, I'm changing my email address so please update your address book. Instead of earthlink.net it's now gmail.com. :-) And if you are lucky enough to have my work email, you can still use that if you'd like. Just nothing R rated, no forwards, and nothing political. Otherwise you will get red flagged and I may never get your emails again. LOL

Shelby's room rearranged

Shelby has been begging to rearrange her bedroom so the deal was she had to clean it first. She did clean it. But turns out she just threw everything in her clubhouse. So we eventually got everything put away and purged a few old toys and got her room moved around just the way she wanted.
The rose petal cottage has become the clubhouse. No boys allowed unless they want to be the butler, according to Shelby. LOL

Father's Day

Yesterday was father's day. I let Lonnie sleep in pretty late and then the kids couldn't wait any longer and wanted to wake him up and share their gifts with him.

Shelby made a cake for her daddy and poppy.

My parents came over for some steaks from the grill and some delicious margaritas.
You know Lonnie is all about the presentation! LOL

Potty Training update

I hope I do not jinx us by saying this, but I believe it is safe to say that Tucker is now fully potty trained! Wooooooooooo-hoooooooooooooo!!!! I NEVER imagined he would train so fast. I know boys are suppose to be harder than girls to train, but Tucker was not the case! So there IS hope for those of you who wonder if a boy can be potty trained when he's 2!!! And for those that emailed and asked how he's going, he's standing. He's got about 50 new matchbox cars from all the training, but that's ok. It did the trick! We've gone 1 week with no accidents now! Now it's time to work on the binky at night.

The Aquarium

These aren't the best quality photos since I took them with my phone but they are from Friday. Lonnie was going to take the kids to schlitterbaun in galveston but I forgot my wallet in my car at the park and ride so I had no courthouse id, no security entrance cards, no money, no nothing. So they changed their plans and went to the downtown aquarium after dropping off my wallet to me. Around lunch time I walked over there (thank God for the downtown tunnel system in 105 heat!) and joined them for a bit. I was sad to go back to work since they were having so much fun.

Potty Training update

Wow, this potty training business has been going so well. I am totally shocked. I fully expected it to be really hard. Granted, it could back fire on us now that I've brought it up. LOL Today was the first day that Tucker started saying he had to go potty instead of us asking him every 10 minutes. Mimi has changed the prize rule at her house so we will start the same this weekend. Now Tucker doesn't get a prize for going potty. Mimi is taking a car away from Tucker if he pee's or poop's in his underwear. He can earn it back the next time he pee's or poop's in the potty. He seems to be ok with that.

Notice anything missing? Besides desperately needed window treatments? THE STAGE!!! The stage is gone!! Shelby's friend Halle's parents came and picked it up today. The living room has now been reclaimed. YAY!!!!!!

Saturday Night

Saturday the kids and I went to my parents house for some fresh fish and relaxation. My dad is so grateful that my kids actually can eat and like fish. The kids swam the entire time. Tucker refused to keep any clothing on. Dad isn't a fan of naked children running around. LOL My parents are about to go kayaking on a weekend trip so they were getting their kayaks cleaned up and ready so the kids tried out one of them in the pool.

Potty Training Prize Box

Everyone has their own way of potty training their kiddos. Ours includes bribery. ;-) We did it when Shelby was PT and so now we are doing it with Tucker. Lonnie went to the dollar tree and bought 30 prizes. And of course they can't all be for Tucker because then Shelby would constantly be crying. So her job is to help Tucker by turning on the water and counting to 20 for him. He's doing so good! He doesn't tell us he has to go so we constantly take him to try and he usually goes. Especially when the prize box gets restocked with new cars!

Doesn't he just look so cute in his big boy underwear??? Lonnie keeps reminding mom and I that we can't keep calling them panties. LOL Here he is with his newest prize - a matchbox car!
