On the road again.

We're on the road again. Left Indiana, drove through Kentucky, Tennessee and now in Alabama. We've stopped for lunch for the kids to run around and stretch. We should make it to our resort in Florida by 8pm. Yay!

Today we had lunch at white castle. We don't have these in TX so this was a first for me and the kids. Ummmm, we aren't missing much. LOL

Louisville

Last night we spent the evening with Lonnie's family. Shelby had a blast bc there were 4 other little girls her age to play with. I was shocked by all the fireworks. It was as if every single household in the state shot off fireworks. We can't do that in our city. Even a sparkler would get you a ticket in TX. Mimi and Poppy, you will be happy to know that your wild grandson was terrified of the loud noise so he stayed away from the firecracker.
We are staying with Lonnie's aunt and uncle across the bridge from Louisville and IN Indiana. We sure have been through a lot of states on this trip! He has some BEAUTIFUL property. Unfortunately as I write this, we are sitting in the parking lot of an urgent care bc Lonnie has become realllllly sick with what seems like strep throat again. And Shelby's allergies have got her completely stopped up. So all the traveling through the different states may be taking a toll on these 2. Sent from my iPad

Bowling Green

We made it to Bowling Green, KY yesterday afternoon. We went to a place called beech bend amusement park which is equivalent to the Houston Rodeo carnival with roller coasters. We had to split the kids up bc Tucker wasn't tall enough for a lot of rides but we still had a lot of fun. I took Tucker to a splash pad in town also. I wish we had splash pad in our home town. It's such a huge hit.
This morning we went to Lost River Cave and took a boat tour, walked the trails and held butterflies. It was a really cool place. Now we are on the road heading to Louisville. Sent from my iPhone

Little Rock

We just spent the evening in Little Rock. We learned a valuable lesson. Do not attempt to sit down and eat a decent dinner after riding in a car for 10+ hours. Tucker is just NOT gonna have it. After we struggled through dinner we walked around downtown, road the trolley, and went to a splash pad at a park next to the hotel. We stayed at the Peabody Hotel but saw no ducks. It's a very nice hotel and fortunately they put us on an empty floor. They heard how wild Tucker was as soon as we walked through the door. From what we have seen of this city, it's very nice. We survived our first long car ride just fine. We only had a few issues over the movies but that's about it. We drove through nacogdoches and saw SFA and how much it has drastically changed in the past 12 years. Then we stopped in Blevins, AR and toured the town and flea market. Now we are on the road again, driving through Tennessee and then Kentucky.

Bank of Blevins

This must be why Shelby thinks we are made of money.
