2nd 9 weeks awards

Today I have spent the entire day at the school except for 2 hours. 8am was a conference with Tucker's teacher. 10:40am was lunch with Tucker. Then lunch with Shelby. Then 3rd grade awards at 1pm. I need a nap.

Of course Shelby is just loving that today is her birthday (more on that in another post) and today is a Friday and she was getting awards. She got awards for perfect attendance and straight a's. She's also in the 100 club for AR points. I'm so proud of my sweet girl! She's such a smarty pants!

Oh and that is not a bird on her head. That's her birthday headband full of feathers.

Winter Showcase

Sunday was Shelby's Winter Showcase with her dance troop. It's the show at the beginning of competitions season where they test out their dances with the costumes and see what needs treeking and adjusting. Shelby's on the Elementary Ruby squad and her group does a dance to Alice in Wonderland. Shelby is the cat, whatever his name is. I have a video to post but my computer isn't really liking the size of it so I may not get to show it.

First Aid Badge

Tonight Lonnie arranged for one of his paramedic buddies to come to scouts and teach the girls first aid. It was a fun evening where I learned the girls have zero faith in my first aid skills. They all kept telling the guy that I would panic. Thanks girls!

Shelby's 9th Bday invitation

Check out the super cute tickets I had made up for Shelby's upcoming party. Every year I say next year we won't be doing anything big. But go figure, that's not this year. This year there will be a Kid's Choice Awards, talent show, red "carpet", walk of fame stars, trophies and more!

Merry Christmas

2012 has been a fabulous year and we are looking forward to another fantastic year in 2013. I hope you all had a great Christmas and New Year! Sorry for the lack of Christmas cards this year. It was a VERY busy month and I just couldn't pull it off. Hopefully next year....but no promises. ;-)
