Christmas Day

Christmas morning was full of excitement. Can you believe we actually had to wake the kids up. It was almost 8am and we were done trying to wait for them to wake up on their own. Sally, our elf, flew back with Santa and will return next year. Santa drank all of his milk but didn't eat too many cookies. He must have been stuffed by the time he made it to our house.

Band Hero - ummm all I can say is holy cow this is FUN!!! NEVER did I think Lonnie and I could get hooked on this but it really is so much fun once we figured out how to do it. I think we will have Taylor Swift songs down first since that's all Shelby wants to sing. LOL

Zhu zhu pets - this was the hard to find item this year.

Tucker got way too many cars. His favorite was El Materdor Mater and Mcqueen. They have sombreros on. LOL

Shelby asked Santa for a blue bunny and pink poodle epet. It didn't matter that these items were no longer selling in the stores. She knew Santa would make them or find them on ebay. LOL

Must inspect all trains to see who they are.

Did you know that Dora goes to first grade now? She's all grown up with her own doll called the Dora Link girl. She's interactive on the computer (like the epets are).

More cars.

Shelby got a new Lizzie Maguire apron and chef hat.

So Lonnie has mastered the Bop It game and thinks nobody can beat him. Sorry babe, but this is a KIDS game. Shelby lost this pink cat about a year ago. So this year she asked Santa for a new one. Doesn't matter that this pink cat was from 3 years ago and no longer being sold in stores. Again, Santa can make it or find it on ebay. Shelby was super excited to get it. Then Sunday we purged the kids' room at my parent's house and guess what. Found the old pink cat on the shelf in the closet. So now she has 2 pink cats.

Later in the day we went to my parent's house for lunch and more gifts.

After going to my parent's house we went to my SIL Bobbie's house and ate more and played band hero. Sorry, no photos from there, but you saw the videos I posted on Tuesday from it. :-)

Christmas Eve

We spent Christmas Eve at Joy and Charlie's place devouring delicious food and opening gifts.

New Moon

Because I'm a nerd, I had to share this photo. 2 weeks ago I went with Sarah and some of her mom's group friends to see new moon (yes, again). As you can see, we are the only ones in the theater. We actually had to go out and ask them to turn off the lights and start the movie. It was mid-week and late at night. It was in the IMAX theater so the vampires and werewolves were even....better. ;-)

Festival of lights

We went to the festival of lights this year and took our annual photo in front of the elves.

Last Monday

Last Monday we had some of Shelby's friends over to play for a few hours so parents could get some last minute Christmas shopping in. Most people thought I was insane, but we had a lot of fun. The kids played, did crafts, and had McDonalds for lunch.

We had McDonalds for lunch. (This was right before Tucker puked all over me and I had to send him to my mom's house.) We did 2 different crafts. One was a candle holder with peel on snowflake glitter foam stickers and the other was a reindeer pot.

Christmas Card

I am so very sorry if you did not receive a Christmas card from us this year. I seriously dropped the ball on this. Next year I will order my cards in October and be on top of my game I promise. Here's the last minute card I designed and mailed out to a few people....aka...the people whose address was in my phone. I left all my addresses at work and I was off all last week.

Bookstore

Shelby and I went to barnes and noble today. She was so excited to pick out books on a second grade level - chapter books. When we went to check out, we ran into a teacher from school who was so excited to see Shelby wanting to read while out on Xmas break.

Christmas Pageant

This past Sunday was the annual Christmas pageant at church. It was Shelby's first year at being an angel and she did a fabulous job!!! Tucker was suppose to be ancestor and well, that sorta fell through due to him not being interested at all. So he missed out.

Party Favors Galore!!!

This week both kids will be having xmas parties at school. Shelby's class was told to bring 22 party favors - 1 item. The teacher will then compile all the treats into 1 bag and send them home to each kid. But in Tucker's class I was able to make little treat bags for the 8 kids. So in the bag I added 2 xmas crayons that we made, a candy cane, and a little coupon book that I bought each kid from McDonalds that includes free treats from there.
