Aggieland Classic 2017

This past weekend Shelby had a volleyball tournament at Texas A&M. VB tournaments are an all day event. The girls lost...pretty bad...but it was still a lot of fun. Shelby's coach isn't the best with team spirit so I've taken it upon myself to pump the girls up. So before each match I gave them a pep talk and reminded them of their love for VB. With each match they improved. I made spirit sticks for all the girls, so the girls had a loud fun cheering section this tournament. I passed them out to each parent and hopefully they will remember them for the next tournament.

Lukas Graham Concert

Last Thursday I took Shelby and Tucker to see Lukas Graham at the House of Blues in Houston. It was part of Shelby's Christmas gift. I wasn't sure how well Tucker would do but he managed. His feet hurt and has decided standing for a concert is not his thing. LOL He was super pumped when he got to meet the singer and the band though. Shelby is such an old pro at this now. She knew exactly where to go and wait. LOL

 Brody got tickets for Christmas as well so he was there with his mom but we managed to run into each other since it's such a small venue.

Christmas 2016

Last year we were out of town for Christmas on the Disney cruise but this year we were in town. I think I now prefer being out of town for Christmas. There was just WAY TOO MUCH hustle and bustle in December. I'm going to have to cut out a lot next December. I'm getting too old for trying to do it all. Ha! This was the first year that Santa no longer came to the house. The boys got way too many pokemon cards and go pros. Shelby got instruments, concert tickets and a go pro. Being a "blended family" now takes a lot of scheduling among other parents. It was a chaotic Christmas, but very blessed we were able to make it work.

House Remodel

As most of you are aware, Chris and Brody moved in with us last spring. It was time to remodel and make it OUR home. So not only did we remodel, we replaced everything. It was a wee bit stressful due to contractors not showing up several times, but it's all done and we absolutely love love love it. This spring we will redo all the landscape. So for now, we are enjoying our "like new" house. :-)
