This is the best $9 "toy" ever. It's a real vacuum and I love it for my stairs. Fortunately Tucker loves it too and he vacuums for me!!!

We got our family photo proofs in from the photographer. It's going to be very hard to narrow down what I want. So far I've only narrowed down to 56 photos! Yikes!

operation back to bed

We were going to begin operation back to bed starting Wednesday night with Tucker. That would be 4 nights that I can go with little sleep and not have to go to work. Lonnie thought we'd try last night. We put the Cars movie on in Tucker's room and tucked him in. 2 minutes later he was in our bed. Lonnie put him back to bed. 2 minutes later he was in our bed. This went on a few times and then finally we just let him pass out in our bed and moved him to his bed. But you know what? He didn't get up until this morning! YAY!!! He stayed in his bed all night long. Woo-hoo!! It may have been a fluke. But we will go forward with operation back to bed tonight!

wedding

I am so behind in posts and pictures. I am sorry. Hopefully I'll get with the program soon. It's just been crazy hectic lately. Yesterday we took the kids to a wedding at the Houston Yacht Club. A friend of Lonnie's little sister that he's known since she was a toddler was getting married. I felt so honored to be there since it was a small wedding and reception and most of the guests were family members. I think everyone knew Tucker's name within 10 minutes. This MUST be a Blevins thing because my mom swears I never acted the way Tucker does. Where does he find all this energy? He's like the energizer bunny that keeps going and going and going. I was determined to get good use out of their Christmas attire with the money that I spent, so Shelby and Tucker wore their Christmas outfits. They of course were too cute and precious in them. Let's see, Shelby dropped chocolate cake on her dress and Tucker dropped EVERYTHING on his outfit. We were sweating by the end chasing Tucker. I was positive that he would pass out in the car when it was time to head home, but he didn't. I took a few pictures but then my camera batteries died so I don't know if any came out. I'll try and upload them later if they did.

craft night tutu night

Saturday night the girls and I got together for dinner and tutu's. I'm pretty impressed with ourselves. It wasn't near as hard as I thought it would be.

sneak peek of family photos

Last weekend we met with Ashley Allen for family photos. I found her off of craigslist. She wasn't advertising but someone posted an ad saying how awesome she was. I love her technique and she is full of energy and I have to say the best photographer we've ever used. She just follows the kids around and snaps away. She doesn't expect them to pose and stand still. LOVE HER! So if you are in the Houston area, check her out. She's actually from the Katy/Smithville area but she came down to League City without hesitation. I haven't seen all the photos yet, but she posted some sneak peek photos for us to see. I can't wait to see them all.

I think I'm going to have to buy a hat like this for Tucker. This is Shelby's winter hat. I came in the bedroom just now and found him laying in bed wearing it.

First of all, ignore the mess surrounding the kids. I'm off today so I'm cleaning. :-) But take a look at my silly kids. One day when they can't stand to be around each other, like when they are teenagers, I can show them this.

They still aren't out of our bed. I don't know when this will get fixed. But look how sweet they look together sleeping next to each other.

I just found some photos on my camera that I forgot I took. These are photos from Shelby's school in front of the pumpkins that the classes decorated. Shelby's friend Halle is the other little girl in the photos.

cold in texas

It was 47 degrees when I woke up this morning. Shelby's been waiting for this kind of weather for months. By the time she got all geared up it was already 70 degrees.

election

Tuesday I tried to explain to Shelby about election day and how mommy and daddy were going to the fire station to vote for our new president. She said, "Oh I know mommy. Daddy is voting for Abraham Lincoln and you are voting for George Washington." LOL Then she promptly reminded me that her and Tucker have names after presidents. Tucker "Jefferson" and Shelby "Madison".

ornaments

I got 1 of the disney ornaments in that I posted down below. It is way bigger than I expected. It was almost 4" tall. So cute! We are getting a new xmas tree this year. I want one that is already pre-lit so I don't have to mess with strings of lights. Shelby wants colored lights so I'm going to have to hunt down a tree with colored lights. You don't see too many of those. I'm looking forward to Thanksgiving Day so I can take Shelby to Garden Ridge for their big sale and we can gather all sorts of new ornaments for our new tree, once I find it.

tucker's birthday party

We had Tucker's birthday party Saturday and had a blast. I am so ticked with myself because I found out after the party that I had the camera on the wrong setting and ended up with mostly blurry photos. UGHHHH!!! Oh well, at least a few came out. I'll post the shutterfly link once I've got them uploaded. Oh, and the Thomas cake fell apart when the hostess took it out of the box. Oh well, cake is cake.
