St. Croix Spring Break 2017 - Days 5 and 6

I was determined to get out of bed on Day 5. We explored the island in the jeep this day. We went to Salt River Bay where Christopher Columbus landed in 1493. Then we drove to the west side of the island and checked out a few beaches and had lunch at the Turtle Deli. Then we headed to Christiansted to do some souvenir shopping board a catamaran at Caribbean Sea Adventures for a sunset cruise. This is where we decided to...surprise!!!.. Get married! By the boat captain who looked like Luke Bryan. It was perfect.

Day 6 was the day we had to leave. We woke up at 4:30 to be at the airport by 5am. We finally arrived home by 4:30pm and vacation was over. It was hard to leave the island. It was just too beautiful to describe. Spending that time with my parents and my brother and his family was very much needed and appreciated. My family is awesome and I am now excited to say that Chris and Brody are officially part of this awesome family!

St. Croix Spring Break 2017 - Day 4

Day 4 was spent with me stuck in bed because I couldn't move from the day's previous injury. So I watched from my bed (Can't complain about the view - 1st picture) through binoculars as my family went on Big Beards boat to Buck Island to snorkel. They of course had an amazing time.

St Croix Spring Break 2017 - Day 3

For Day 3 in St Croix we kicked off the morning with family photos with a photographer. I can't wait to see how the photos turned out. Then we hopped in the jeep and went for a ride through the "rainforest" which really wasn't a rainforest. We stopped in for a memorable "lunch" at Montpellier Domino Club. It was a run down shack in the middle of no where and their menu consisted of wings and fish and chips for the day. Those were the only options. And then there was the Mama Wanna juice drink which we deemed as poisonous hooch. It was absolutely disgusting but everyone raved about this place and the drinking pigs. So we paid $2 for some non alcoholic beers and fed them to the pigs. It. Was. Disgusting. But the kids loved it, and it's apparently on every "must see/do" list from trip advisor. So we've seen and done it. After the drinking pigs we headed to Rainbow beach on the west side of the island. This is the beach that I got injured with a chunk of coral rock slamming into my tailbone. 9 days later and I'm still miserable from it.

St. Croix Spring Break 2017 - Day 1 and 2

Spring Break this year was spent in St. Croix, Virgin Islands for Mimi and Poppy's 50th wedding anniversary. It was an ahhhhhhhmazing vacation.  Day 1 was spent flying to Miami then to St. Croix. Day 2 we explored the islands with our rented jeep. We learned how to drive on the left side of the road. We went to Point Udall, the most eastern point in the US. And in the evening we went to The Palms for the Caribbean Dinner and Show. We danced the night away and celebrated Mimi and Poppy!

These photos are sort of out of order. Sorry. This view is from the backyard of the house that we stayed at.
